🌼 Buddha Purnima 2026
Buddha Purnima celebrates the life of Gautama Buddha and is one of the most important festivals in Buddhism.
बुद्ध पूर्णिमा गौतम बुद्ध के जीवन का उत्सव है और बौद्ध धर्म के सबसे महत्वपूर्ण त्योहारों में से एक है।
It is believed that Gautama Buddha obtained Enlightenment on this day. Buddha Purnima is also known as Buddha Jayanti, Vesak, Vaishaka and Buddha’s Birthday.
माना जाता है कि इसी दिन गौतम बुद्ध को ज्ञान की प्राप्ति हुई थी। बुद्ध पूर्णिमा को बुद्ध जयंती, वेसाक, वैशाख और बुद्ध के जन्मदिन के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।
In North India Buddha is considered as the 9th incarnation and Lord Krishna as the 8th incarnation of Lord Vishnu. However, Buddha is never considered as an Avatar of Vishnu in South Indian belief. In South India, Balarama is considered as the 8th incarnation and Krishna as the 9th incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
उत्तरी भारत में बुद्ध को भगवान विष्णु का 9वाँ अवतार और भगवान कृष्ण को 8वाँ अवतार माना जाता है। हालाँकि, दक्षिण भारतीय मान्यताओं में बुद्ध को कभी भी विष्णु का अवतार नहीं माना जाता है। दक्षिण भारत में बलराम को भगवान विष्णु का 8वाँ अवतार और कृष्ण को 9वाँ अवतार माना जाता है।
